Yes, you are not daydreaming…this blog is not just any blog, it’s my 200th blog that I have written since I started “Going the Distance” last year. It’s been astounding that this journey has gone farther than it has been, given the ever-growing cultural changes in our current world.

Now, you might be wondering where does “Going the Distance” go from here? After 200 blogs, some of you are wondering if I am starting to run out of steam. Well, the answer to that is no, I have plenty of steam in the tank and that steam has somewhere it needs to go to. In a previous blog, I discussed some of the current projects I am doing in terms of presentations. While I haven’t yet started on these projects due to other commitments, I do plan on creating them at some point.

Recently, you may have noticed a post geared towards the Council for Exceptional Children regards possible speaking engagements related to special education. One of my goals for this year and beyond is to do further presentations for the CEC because their community makes up of parents, teachers and school administrators who would more than likely benefit from what I have to offer.
Already, I have presented “School Safety Drills and Autism” for branches out of Arizona, North Carolina and Michigan to a total of nearly 60 audience members who have benefited greatly from what I have offer.
However, that doesn’t mean that you are from other general or special educational institutions. If you would like me to present “School Safety Drills and Autism” along with my other educational presentations “School Dances and Autism” and “Autism and Bullying” for your organization or institution, either virtually or in-person, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me today.

Another organization that I have been keeping my eye on as you know is Society for Human Resources Management for my employment presentations. But they aren’t the only fish in the sea in terms of organizations. I’ve also been keeping my eye on two other employment organizations: DirectEmployers and the Association of People Supporting Employment.
In fact, I am presenting either “The Man Behind the Curtain” or “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer: Why Does it Represent Neurodiversity?” for the Florida Branch of APSE on either May 5th or May 6th in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and if you are like the Florida Branch of APSE and would like me to present either virtually or in person, please do not hesitate to reach out to me today.

Finally, on Friday March 11th, I recently hosted a roundtable with a few other neurodiversity/disability community members talking about how the COVID Pandemic has impacted our lives in the 2 years since it all began. Judging from the previous feedback, I hope to do these at least once a quarter covering a variety of various topics like our most recent presentation.
It seems like hearing from a panel of neurodiverse/disabled community members has been really benefiting people and myself and my fellow colleagues/community members and if you happen to have any suggestions that we can talk about, please do not hesitate to reach out to me today.
…
All in all, I look to hit more milestones like my 200th blog with the help and support of you, the autism/neurodiversity and disability communities. Let’s keep going on this journey together and who knows what doors we will open together?
…
Catch you all later!!
